Usage of openidConnectClientProvider and OpenIdConnectClientConfiguration in ASP.NET Core
I have a question about the usage of the Microsoft.AspNetCore.Authentication.OpenIdConnect.Extensions.OpenIdConnectClientProvider in ASP.NET Core. My problem is that I'm not sure which of these two should I use. In the Documentation, it says:
OpenIdConnectClientProvider is used to instantiate the OpenIdConnectClient, which is an implementation of IOpenIdConnectClient.
OpenIdConnectClientConfiguration is used to configure the OpenIdConnectClient
So the question is, how exactly does it work in practice. Should I implement one of these two and if so, which one and why. Is there any best practices for this?

If you are using ASP.NET Core Identity, then you'll want to use Microsoft.AspNetCore.Identity.OpenIdConnect.Extensions.OpenIdConnectClientProvider.
